WHY KOREAN SKINCARE IS GREAT

Korean Skincare is still “new” in Europe even though it has been popular around the world for years. Within the past year I have added many Korean Skincare products into my skincare routine because the products are truly fantastic! Learn why Korean Skincare is great right here.

The Price

The thing that intrigued me the most in the beginning was the price. Everything is very affordable and budget friendly which is not something that you see in the skincare business very often. It’s easier to buy an affordable products and if it doesn’t work then it’s not the end of the world. That’s why I got into Korean Skincare. And because within the first weeks of me using Korean Skincare I could see the biggest difference in my skin. The many steps and products are good for my skin and because they are so inexpensive it’s easier to try new things.

The Ingredients

Snail Slime and natural ingredients isn’t something that makes you think of amazing skincare. At least not the snail slime. But it’s a very well known ingredient in Korean Skincare. It adds a lot of moisture to the skin and it’s used in both serums, masks and moisturizers. Many of the Korean Skincare brands focus on using natural ingredients which is absolutely amazing. A brand called Caolion uses only natural ingredients and you can actually eat the products. Not that it tastes good or anything, but it’s clean enough to eat. There are many active ingredients in Korean Skincare which makes the products super effective.

It’s fun!

The packaging and the products are very innovative and different and that makes it so much fun to try out the different products. The packaging doesn’t look amazing when it’s on the shelf in the bathroom and it’s not the easiest to store, but the products are truly amazing. To use a tomato, red beet or pumpkin mask isn’t something that I would normally do but the ingredients really work well with my skin. So if you’re on the hunt for some inexpensive and fun skincare that actually works, then you have come to the right place.

Sheet Masks

They have changed my life for the better. Even though most of them never fit my face, then they make the biggest difference in my skin. The best sheet masks are the ones that gives moisture to the skin. They give so much moisture and my skin always feel amazing afterwards. I often use them for 45-60 minutes and get the full potential of the mask. I often also take the remaining serum in the package and use on my neck and arms for extra moisture. Because sometimes a sheet mask can be rather expensive and then I just want to get the full potential out of it. Why was any product, right? If you’re on a budget you can find bundles of sheet masks for a fraction of the price and get sheet masks for a longer period of time.

My recommendations

I have tried many different brands and products but I of course have my favorites. Dr. Jart is one brand that quickly found a way to my heart. Their Ceramidin line is brilliant and I use it every single day at the moment. Dr. Jart’s sheet masks are also brilliant and so effective. They are some of my all time favorites. Another huge favorite of mine is a Snail Slime Sheet Mask. I usually use the one from Tony Moly and it’s to die for! Whenever my skin is feeling a bit dry I use it, and I feel the effect for days. It’s just lovely.

Too Cool For School’s Egg Mellow Cream that contains serum and so many other good things is also on the top of my list. It gives me all the moisture that I need and I use it as my night cream. They also do these amazing Pumpkin masks. The sleeping pack is my favorite because it gives me moisture while I sleep but still peels a tiny bit, so my skin looks stunning when I wake up.

The Erborian Black Scrub Mask is my favorite exfoliating product I have ever tried. I have sensitive skin so grainy scrubs just aren’t for me. This scrub is chemical so there are no grains but you end up with a ton of dead skin between your fingers and the cleanest and softest skin ever. I often recommend this because it’s truly one of my favorite products in my skincare routine.

The Tony Moly Egg Pore Blackhead Steaming Balm and the Egg Pore Tightening Cooling Pack work really well together. The Steaming Balm warms up and opens the pores to clean them in depth. The Cooling Pack closes the pores and makes sure that they stay closed so dirt won’t enter again. It’s really good if you suffer from black heads like I do. I see a huge difference when I use these products together and I have actually run out of the Steaming Balm and I need to buy a new one.

Those were all of my thoughts about Korean Skincare and why it has become a big part of my skincare routine. And I also mentioned some recommendations to products that truly make a difference to the skin – or at least they did to mine.
