These videos are always my favorite to watch and therefore I decided to film a What’s In My Bag video for you. The bag I’m using is my Céline Trio and it’s my favorite bag I have ever had.
Black nail polish gives me a throwback to when I used to dye my hair black and listen to rock music – so you can probably guess that I’m not a huge fan of black nail polish. But this nail polish from Essie isn’t quite black even though it looks like it. It is a dark – very dark – navy blue, and it’s beautiful. Normally I’m not a huge fan of blue but this navy does it for me.
I had to hunt this nail polish down and it has been on my nails ever since I got my hands on it. I’m sure it will be pretty with a glittery polish on top for the holidays. Glitter makes everything pretty, am I right?
Recently I had an interview for a job, and I decided to film my process of getting ready. So in this video I’m showing you my hair, makeup and outfit. This video wasn’t planned and it’s a very casual and relaxed video that I hope you will enjoy.
I have always been a sucker for matte eyeshadows. On an everyday basis I always wear mattes all over the eyelid and in the crease and if I’m feeling wild I will use a black matte eyeshadow as an eyeliner. So you can say that I’m all about that mattes, ’bout that mattes – no shimmer!
Don’t get me wrong – when it’s a special occasion like Christmas or New Years, I will use all the shimmer and glitter in the world. Because who doesn’t love shimmer?
My new favorite love is the Tartelette palette from Tarte which is just mattes – both cool and warm toned. There are both neutrals and a hint of purple shades. I’m absolutely in love with this palette and when I saw on Instagram that Tarte is bringing out a new Tartelette palette I knew I had to get it when it comes out.
Are you Team Matte or Team Shimmer?
Another month has passed and it’s already December which is crazy. I love December and I cannot wait for Christmas – but before we get too into the Christmas spirit I will show you the products I have been loving in November.
Dear Santa, I actually have a lot on my wishlist this year. I do not need any of these things but I think they make great gifts. I’m wishing for something new this year. Books. I enjoy to read but I don’t do it enough and perhaps 2016 will be the year where I start. Beauty is of course on the list and I really hope to find the new Marc Jacobs perfume under my tree this year because it’s amazing.
The necklace is beyond beautiful and it has three diamonds in it – and you say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. My friend recommended the lense and now I cannot stop thinking about it. The shoes are so cool and the teapot just looks nice. So many wishes it’s almost too much. But I thought it might give you some inspiration to what you want to wish for this Christmas.
Happy 1st of December!
When I saw Kylie Jenner on Snapchat with a blue lip, I just knew that I needed a blue lipstick. First I wanted the Matte Royal from MAC but I was afraid that it was going to be too drying on the lips. When I saw this liquid lipstick from Kat Von D, I had to have it!
Today I’m doing a First Impressions video on the newest foundation from Urban Decay – the Naked Skin Foundation. Yesterday I wrote a review on the foundation here on the blog and today you can see it being applied.
Everyone was talking about the concealer – so when I saw the Naked Skin Foundation in Sephora in New York, I had to pick it up and give it a go. Kinda forgot to pick up the concealer to go along with it, but I will be picking it up asap.
The foundation retails at $40 for 30 ml which is a pretty normal price for a foundation from Sephora. I have it in the shade 0.5 which is the lightest shade with pink undertones. Even though it is the lightest shade I somehow find that it is a tiny bit dark for me. #whitegirlproblems
It is very easy and fast to blend and it didn’t cling to any of my dry patches. The foundation has a runny texture and it makes the face looks even without it feeling heavy on the skin. I think it looks very beautiful on the skin – it’s not too dewy or too matte. It has a medium coverage and you can for sure tell that it’s on the skin, so it’s perfect for all the Christmas parties coming up.
All in all I really like this foundation. I just need to fake tan a bit, so it doesn’t look too dark on my skin. I will wear this for special occasions and perhaps a tiny bit on a bad skin day. But it feels weightless on the skin and it lasts for a long time on the skin without fading.
If you want to see the foundation being applied and hear my very first thoughts about it – then come back tomorrow at 4pm GTM.
