Spring is finally here and therefore I decided to do a spring lookbook for you. Spring is actually not that warm in Denmark, but just being able to wear a leather jacket without a jacket on top is amazing. I’m thinking about doing more lookbooks – is that something you would like to see?
I have been getting really into high end makeup recently so I have forgotten a little about the drugstore makeup that I own. So I want to show you my top five drugstore beauty products at the moment. And it really wasn’t on purpose that four out of five products are from L’Oréal but they are really doing some amazing products.
I have two foundations. The Infallible 24H-Matte and the True Match. Both are amazing and I use them on an everyday basis. The Brow Artist Plumper has been in my collection for some time now and I prefer it to any other eyebrow gel I have tried. The False Lash Telescopic mascara is new and I’m a huge fan. I’m a huge fan of drugstore mascaras in general.
The last product is an eyeshadow palette and I’m usually not a huge fan of drugstore eyeshadow pallets but this is amazing. As you can see the name has rubbed off because I have used it that much. It is by the brand Catrice Cosmetics and the palette is called Absolute Matte. It’s like the Naked Basics palette from Urban Decay – just from the drugstore.
What are your favorite drugstore products?
I have been watching every single Coachella vlog on Youtube and I really wish I could have been there. It looks like so much fun and I know I need to go next year. It’s just a must to go to Coachella. Even though I couldn’t go, I created a makeup look that I would wear if I was going to Coachella. So I was just playing with makeup and dreaming about palm trees and Los Angeles.
What look would you like to see next?
This outfit is a little sneak peek of a lookbook that will be coming on Sunday and I really hope that you will enjoy it.
Being organized is very important to me because it makes me feel like I’m in control of my life and the things I’m doing. I want to give you my top tips on staying organized even in a busy everyday life.
Plan. I always plan ahead and write everything down in my calendar. It gives me an overview of what I have to do, when I have to do it and when I have free time to plan other things. I don’t like to overbook and I usually plan weeks ahead. I’m a girl who likes to know what I have to do the next couple of weeks so everything is under control. Not spontaneous or exciting but very calming.
Lists. If you look through my laptop, phone and notebooks you will for sure find one thing. Lists. And plenty of them. I make to-do lists every day so I know what I have to do and so I don’t forget anything or miss anything. It’s important for me to stay on top of things and never be late on deadlines. And then it’s just very satisfying to tick things off and be done with everything at the end of the day.
Declutter. This is something I’m still working on. I just moved into a new apartment and I now have two roomies so this is important now. Always make sure that things are where they belong. When everything is neat then it’s easier to get things done.
Just do it. When I have a lot of things to do I usually don’t know where to start and that leaves me just sitting around not knowing where to start. But when I do a to do list and actually just start doing something I become more efficient.
Think minimalistic. It’s easier to be organized when you don’t have that much to organize. I have really gotten into minimalism in my everyday life. I have downsized my wardrobe and my makeup collection and I really like not having so many things because it just makes my life more organized.
I have never been the type of person who wore lipstick everyday because I thought it was a bit too much, but I recently starting wearing lipstick more. It’s so beautiful so wear something on the lips and I want to start wearing lipstick on an everyday basis.
The days I don’t want to wear something I just go for a very understated lipstick such as the YSL rouge colupte shine lipsticks. They are glossy and beautiful on the lips and they feel like lip balm which is a big plus in my book. I have the number 15.
The days I want to wear a little something but not go over the top I choose a lipstick such as the Matte Revolution lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury in the shade Amazing Grace. It’s rosy-nude and it’s just beautiful.
The days where I’m feeling like I need to add a little something extra to my wardrobe I go for the Rimmel 107 lipstick. It’s such an amazing lipstick and it’s not heavy or anything on the lips. I really love wearing this – also for everyday.
Which lipstick is your favorite everyday lipstick?
So I decided to enter the #NORDICFACEAWARDS 2016 and I’m really excited. I learned about it this Friday and then I just had two days to come up with a look, film it and post it on my Instagram. I’m really excited about it so keep your fingers crossed that I will be through to the next round!
Another day – another makeup tutorial. This time it’s natural which is something I have been really into lately. Sometimes less is more and this look I wore when I was having a night at home with my friends. I just wanted to put on some makeup and look good, but I didn’t want to go all out with the makeup.
Let’s give a warm welcome to the new addition to my life. My new camera. It’s the Olympus Pen E-PL7. The blogger camera, that everyone is going on and on about. I know. But! I really think it’s a good camera and I needed a camera that I could bring with me on the go. Especially when I’m going traveling soon. I don’t want to run around with a big camera. This camera is perfect. Because it also films in HD.
So be prepared for more outfit pictures and maybe some vlogs from my everyday life. How exciting.
MAC Lipsticks have been my favorites for years but recently I actually got rid of many. These are the lipsticks I have left and I love them all. Which MAC lipstick is your favorite?
I have always been a fan of makeup brushes – especially the ones for the face. It makes such a huge difference when you are applying your foundation and concealer. I wanted to show you my top five face brushes to give you some inspiration if you’re looking for a makeup brush.
My all time favorite brush is from Louise Young and it’s the LY34 brush. It gives such a beautiful and natural look when applying foundation. I use it on an everyday basis because it makes the foundation look like skin and not like you’re wearing makeup.
My favorite brush for powder, bronzer and blush is the duo-fibre face brush from Real Techniques. It also gives such a natural look and it’s very important when I’m doing my makeup. I have two of these brushes – that’s how much I love them.
When it comes to concealer and highlighter I have one favorite brush as well. It’s also from Real Techniques and it’s the setting brush. It’s perfect for under the eyes and it’s also perfect for highlighter. I need to buy myself another one because right now I just have one and that’s not ideal when I want to use it for concealer and highlighter.
Another foundation brush that’s just amazing is from Sigma and it’s the F80 Flat Kabuki brush – which is loved by many beauty bloggers and vloggers. It gives a natural look and it’s so easy to use. I grab for it very often.
The last brush is actually the newest addition to my makeup brush collection and I bought it off Ebay. It’s a bit hard to work with at first, but when you get used to it it’s amazing. I really love it for when I want my foundation to have a higher coverage.
